Debra Williamson is the Managing Director of MDW Solicitors and a criminal law consultant for IBB Crime with HAL Solicitors. A qualified duty solicitor, her consultancy work centres on Magistrates Court proceedings, where she represents clients in a wide range of hearings — from first appearances and bail applications to sentencing. Her caseload spans from motoring offences, such as drink driving and speeding, to more complex criminal matters.

As an accredited police station representative, Debra also provides expert legal support during police interviews and investigations.

Debra qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and brings over 29 years of legal experience to her practice. Before founding MDW Solicitors in June 2019, she spent 18 years as a Partner and Director at a large corporate law firm. During this time, she played a key role in transforming the firm from a criminal law specialist into a full-service legal practice, ultimately overseeing operations across 17 offices and more than 200 staff.
